While there seems to be an influx of ‘at home workouts’ making their way around the internet, any true fitness freak knows that without the heavy gym equipment, the workouts just won’t be the same.

Check out these 5 things you can do

1.Yoga
Yoga is a systematic practice of physical exercise, breath control, relaxation, diet control, positive thinking and meditation aimed at developing harmony in the body, mind, and environment. … Most people are familiar with the physical poses or yoga positions but don’t know that yoga involves so much more than just that.

2. Cardio
This is a great opportunity to focus on getting in some extra cardio. Sure it’s going to be tough while you’re on ‘lockdown’, but as far as I am aware – at the time of writing this post – there is nothing stopping you from taking a walk on your terrace or 30 minutes of morning or evening walks.  Also,  you could do an intense stair-climbing exercise which will produce more aerobic benefits in a shorter amount of time than running or walking. One hour of stair climbing will burn approximately 1,000 calories. You burn about 0.17 calories for every step you climb and Every stair descended burns about 0.05 calories on average.

3. Bodyweight training
Body Weight exercises are strength training exercises that use the individual’s own weight to provide resistance against gravity. Bodyweight exercises can enhance a range of bio-motor abilities including strength, power, endurance, speed, flexibility, coordination and balance.

4. Diet plan
Adopt a healthy eating plan. A healthy eating plan gives your body the nutrients it needs every day while staying within your daily calorie goal for weight loss. A healthy eating plan emphasizes on consumption of vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and fat-free or low-fat dairy products

5. Aerobics
Aerobics is a form of physical exercise that combines rhythmic aerobic exercise with stretching and strength training routines with the goal of improving all elements of fitness (flexibility, muscular strength, and cardiovascular fitness.
