This stunning beauty queen from Roorkee not only won the coveted crown but conquered hearts as well. Her honesty and positivity are pretty impressive. In a candid conversation with us, Nehul talks about her journey,
First of all, we would like to congratulate you for winning the crown of Miss Uttarakhand – 2017 worldwide. How does it feel to win Miss Uttarakhand Worldwide 2017? What kind of response are you getting from people?
Thank you so much. I would like to thank the organizers wholeheartedly. They were the ones who gave me the platform to be like I’m today. There is a lot of difficulty in getting a platform for showcasing talent in the fashion industry. I’m feeling very thankful and am on the ninth sky.
Let us know about your childhood, education and family background?
I was an introvert girl but with passing time my personality got really changed. I have done my studies in Roorkee till graduation in Dehradun and my post graduation is from Jaipur National University. I belong to a middle-class family. My father is in government service. My mother is a loving housewife. And I’ve got an intelligent sister who is my support system and a cute younger brother.
What was the first thought that came to your mind when they announced your name as the winner?
I was in confusion when they announced my name. I never thought that I could win the title. For a second I couldn’t believe it. So I thought for a moment and then I came to know… Yah… I won…
Did you expect to be a winner? How did your friends and family members react to your victory?
Yes. But my moral got down for some moments when I didn’t get enough likes on Facebook but then I coped up with that. And gave my 100% again. I found my friends and family so happy after my victory. Even some of my friends gave treats and parties for my victory.
What are the major qualities in you that made you a winner?
I think….. My confidence, my positive attitude, and my mother’s support made me the winner.
Did you always want to be a model and beauty pageant winner?
Yah…. You can say that it was a dream since I was in school and came to know about the world of beauty…..
You are from Roorkee and girls of Uttarakhand origin from different cities like, Dehradun, Delhi, and Bangalore also participated, did you face any challenges for belonging to Roorkee?
Not really….. Coz I have seen many people… Belonging to small towns and ruling the industries…..
What are the future plans? Miss India or you want to try your luck in acting industry?
Yes…. I really want to get into the acting. But before that, I’ll surely participate in Miss. India Contest. I don’t want to disappoint my friends and family by not representing Uttarakhand in Miss India Contest.
What message would you like to give those young girls of Uttrakhand who want to be next Miss Uttarakhand Worldwide?
Just a simple message “You need to understand yourself and yourself and look what exactly you are made of”.
