After defeating contestants from over 20 countries Bhumika of Dehradun won the Body Building Championship title. Girls from Uttarakhand are making the state proud in different fields. They are excelling in all fields. Bhumika was the only contestant from India. She performed excellently in Fall in, Body Posing and individual Posing to get the highest marks in these rounds. The competition was held in Venice, Italy.
World Body Building Championship held from 17-18 June had over 50 contestants from different countries of the world. After performing brilliantly in 3 rounds Rajeshwar Nagar, Phase 2, Sahastrdhara Road inhabitant Bhumika Sharma won the title. She won the Gold medal and made the country proud. Her mother Hansa Manral Sharma, is the coach of weightlifting team of India. Bhumika is currently pursuing B. P. Ed from Jaspal Rana Institute of Physical Education in Dehradun.
Bhumika told that she has been training for bodybuilding since three years. She participated in Mr. and Miss Delhi 2016 in March and won a gold medal there too. That was the first time she entered such a competition. After that, she participated in a National competition held at Pune, Maharashtra where she won a silver medal. There were 27 candidates in the Indian team and she was the only female there.
And she was a tougher competition for the world than any of the male competitors. There have been many facilitation programs for her where she talks about women empowerment.
